The Lancaster Lions are different to the other Lancaster University sports teams. Men's Lacrosse is highly competitive and full contact; the lacrosse field is no place for someone who can't take a hit and occasionally dish one out. The game is fast paced and being unlike other sports lacrosse involves commitment and practice but that commitment becomes part of the lacrosse lifestyle which is infectious to everyone that picks up a stick and gives it a go. The Men's team are a close group of friends and everyone in our society is welcomed and taken in as one of the lads from day one; as much as the sport and training are taken seriously, and we aim to top our league table this season, the team is never shy of a social and will always be seen  chilling around campus carrying a lacrosse stick. This last year we had an incredibly successful season by winning 100% of our games in the BUCS League, in addition to winning our Roses match against York.
